Breast Cancer and Depression awareness month.
As I’m sure you’re aware October is Breast Cancer and Depression awareness month. Both causes are close to my heart as I’ve had friends and family suffer with both. Any cancer deserves greater awareness and research into finding better cures and prevention. Likewise depression deserves to be taken seriously and supported better in our society.
It’s hard to really write in greater detail without just getting *too* personal on either cause – instead here are some links to some courageous women who have blogged thus far about the month.

With both causes close to my heart I decided to challenge myself to only wear my pink or green polishes for October (though argh halloween, I will maybe have to have an orange day…). I thought it would be nice to start out by showing you my greens and pinks. I don’t have a hooooge collection, but what I have I love!

Arockalypse French Manicure NoTD
So from yesterdays Petite Polish I then decided to play french manicure, but with a crackle twist. This was my apocalypse nature manicure for the PHD weekly challenge and I really like it.

This was my attempts at layering for a bark-like effect. I want to try this again at some point, but with matte top coat. Personally I think I was trying to add too much

Vampy Challenge Nails
This weeks PHD challenge was for vampire inspired nails. So of course I couldn’t resist but join in. If my nails had been longer I would have gone for the pointy look – but not going to happen with these little nubs! I used China Glaze – Thunderbird and Lubu Heels and Eyeko Vampira Polish to create these looks. They aren’t exactly ground breaking, but I had fun with them.
Den har veckans PHD Challenge var för vampyr nageller. Jag kunde inte säger nej till det (Jag tycker om många Vampyr serier och bocker). När min nagler var lite langre ska jag har ‘pointy’ men de är lite kort presis nu. Jag anvandade (är det rätt?!) China Glaze – Thunderbird/ Lubu Heels och Eyeko Vampira Polish. De är inte så annorlunda, men det var roligt att göra.
Somehow editting was utterfail here. Måste jobbar lite mer med photoshop!
