I managed to pick this beauty up in a blog sale, and I’m rather happy about it
(Sorry for lack of much text, tired gem is tired!)

And as some extra’s here’s a little comparison with H&M Sinful Senorita – really quite different, huh?

So far this seems to be my week in terms of people who really are just too lovely for words.
Today is the turn of a lovely lady by the name of Magic Maid (well actually called Nicole but hey!) She had a sale the other week, and I couldn’t resist the urge to get a couple of polishes. She then proceeded to fill the rest of the box with some lovelies for me – silly, sweet, super lady she is!

From L-R
Claires Chunky Gold, Sally Hanson – Mellow Yellow, Fingerpaints – Artists Inspiration, Sinful Colors – What’s your name, Tapping Nails, Milani – Paint the town red, and my purry-chases – China Glaze- Thunderbird, Lubu Heels. and OPI DS Passion.
I feel like the luckiest little girl ever! And the day was completed by a nice favourable council tax reduction – score!
Unimpressed however with my lack of creativity in my weekly PHD attempt, yesterday evening I attempted something a little more daring. The dreaded water marble.
I’m an utter idiot at doing this. I’ve tried all sorts of things, boiled kettle, differing temperatures of water, differing polishes, it doesn’t matter, sometimes I get something okay, most the time I end up with very messy fingers with very little to show for it. Regardless I’ll keep at it, every so often attempting a new one. I’ve found that for me working on only two fingers or one as an accent stresses me out *significantly* less, so until I am a master at this technique, that’s how it’s going to be.
This week it was the turn of my ring fingers to get the ‘pop’ of colour.
Polishes I used were:- Moonless Night by H&M for the main stay of my nails. White by Mavela, and pinky colour is Dim sum Plum by OPI, which I like more and more each time I wear it.
My water fingers aren’t so exciting, and bubbly, but hey ho!

Time for your close up nails!

Yeah, a little bubbly, and not my favourites ever, but they get the point accross, and well I’ll be trying again soon no doubt!
Do you like water marbling? What is your trick to making it work?
Sorry I’ve been a little quiet for a few days, sometimes life says ‘hello’ and taking pictures of my nails falls into the background – anyways I’m hoping to start making up to you all for those appalling iphone pictures I sometimes force you to endure with some much more prettyful pictures from my beloved canon 350D <3. There will still be crappy iphone shots on occasion – but hopefully this is the start of some much better nail, face and otherwise piccys!

Sunlight.
Anyways, this is the first NoTD from colours that I got from This lovely lady The colour is China Glaze – Grape Juice I’m not exactly sure how to officially describe it – perhaps purple semi sheer jelly with silver sparkle – almost frosty? The application was great for me (I’m a big fan of china glaze), though I then decided to do some pattern drafting while the polish wasnt completely dry – and ballsed up the tips. Not to worry – My current fix-all is to add shiny tips using Mad as a Hatter by OPI. I *think* it works pretty well. Thoughts?

Shade, flash.
I also have Watermelon rind (as recently swatched here) which I’m going to attempt a nail art with soon.
I hope you enjoyed reading this
Back to flowers today. Decided to tackle a larger piece of kimono silk, and then fought with some jeans variant of the ribbon flower.
Todays offering to the craft gods.
All so far together.
using the same method as my tutorial, just with strips of jeans instead
and afternoon nails as I smudged this mornings
I get the feeling this might be becoming my lazygem mani of choice. I find it fast to do, and adds a little extra to a colour. I’m still no-where near perfect at it, but practice makes….
This time I’ve done it with OPI Red Nail and China Glaze Evening Seduction in a slightly sweet and loving colour way. I remembered the base coat this time (China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base), and used my mums awesome topcoat – Nail Life, Speed Demon. I don’t really trust fast drying top-coats, but this one does get me touch dry in under a minute and I don’t seem to mess up too badly beyond that.
I think though I prefer the first attempt for the colour combination, and the coverage was way stronger on the second coat – this time around I did have to do a couple of nails with 2 coats of Evening Seduction, and you can start to see an obvious edge.
Apologies again for iphone pictures, along with shameless ring pictures… I’ll tire of it I promise!
Guess what I got when I got to mums yesterday?
Thats right, Mad as a fish.. I mean hatter from the OPI Alice in Wonderland collection, I know it’s old news for most of the blogosphere, but it made me happy so there!
so I updated the Eurovision look just in time to see my favourite act Lithuania get booted and Sweden to not qualify for the first time ever!
Still <3 though!
All freehand, and since I don’t have yellow or green, quite limited.. but ah well!
Sorry Norway, I screwed your flag up this time, Isreal too… Please don’t be angry – I tried! I suppose to be all nice to my new country I *should* get yellow and make some sweden nails. Pity I really don’t like our entry

Right hand, Finland, Estonia, Russia, Greece, Denmark

Left hand, Isreal, Croatia, Norway (the worst I did whoops), Netherlands, France
Using:-
China Glaze Ridge Filler Base
Mavala 49 White
OPI Suzy says feng shui
OPI Red my fortune cookie
H&M Moonless night
Random silver glitter pen
I should have known better than to think I wouldn’t have taken my varnish any further on a sunday!
This is my first gradient attempt- I used a sponge from some old makeup and H&M’s meet me in the night. I think a less opaque shade would make it easier on me. The effect looks better at a little distance though. For a tutorial you can look here (uses a few differing colours) or here I just used 2 colours as I dont have the worlds biggest polish collection :/
